This adapter connects the DisplayPort output of a graphics card to a DVI-D monitor, allowing continued use of existing displays. It uses a purely digital signal path and supports typical PC and HDTV resolutions up to 1080p/60 as well as selected higher formats when the source and the display support this.
Particularly practical for on-site installations, service deployments, and in professional IT environments when a quick connection to existing DVI displays in the infrastructures of companies and public institutions is required.
